The New York Islanders have brought in veteran blue-liner Logan Stanley on a deal for the current campaign, incorporating him into their Sunday practice session. The organization secured the 28-year-old left-handed defenseman near the conclusion of training camp following the demotion of younger prospects Kashawn Aitcheson and Isaiah George to their AHL affiliate located in Hamilton.
Prior to this move, George had been viewed as a candidate to secure a permanent spot on the main roster at age 22, having previously appeared in four games during the prior season and 33 matches across 2024-25. Stanley brings extensive experience to the squad, having logged 76 regular-season appearances last year split between Winnipeg and Buffalo, alongside eight postseason contests with the Sabres.
His career milestone of surpassing 300 total NHL appearances traces back to his initial league debut with the Jets in 2021.
