Is Lions coach Dan Campbell taking too many risks?

During their Week 7 victory, the Detroit Lions narrowly escaped disaster after executing a controversial fourth-down gamble deep inside their own territory late in the contest. Head coach Dan Campbell defended the aggressive play call by stating his confidence in converting and knowing his defense would stop the opposition if things went awry.

Although the daring strategy initially failed when Jahmyr Gibbs was stopped for a loss, a subsequent missed field goal by Green Bay allowed Detroit to run out the clock and secure a game-winning kick from Jake Bates.
