Fast bowlers dominated the opening day of the Irani Cup fixture in Srinagar as Jammu and Kashmir dismissed Rest of India for 237 runs. Sunil Kumar and Lone Nasir claimed three wickets each for the hosts, capitalizing on a grass-laden pitch under sunny overhead conditions.
Despite the visitors being led by Rishabh Pant, solid resistance came from Shikhar Mohan with 60 runs and Ravichandran Smaran with an unbeaten 68. In response, Rest of India pacers Mukesh Choudhary and Akash Deep removed two opening batters before stumps, leaving Jammu and Kashmir at 21 runs for two wickets.
