Injured Isak returns to Liverpool from Sweden duty

Alexander Isak has headed back to Merseyside following a minor fitness setback during his time representing the Swedish national team. The forward completed the entirety of the fixture and netted during a two to one Nations League triumph against Romania at the end of the week, yet he will now sit out the remaining fixtures of the international window.

Club medical personnel will evaluate the twenty-seven-year-old upon his arrival. The attacker has notched four strikes across five league fixtures to begin the campaign for his current employers, following a previous campaign affected by physical setbacks after his record transfer from Newcastle United.
