India script history, become first team to register 200 T20I wins

India secured a historic milestone on Tuesday by becoming the first men's side to reach 200 victories in international Twenty20 matches, achieving the feat during a rain-reduced contest against Japan at Sano. Defending a modest target of 33 runs from five overs after winning the toss, the world champions narrowly avoided a major upset as their bowling attack restricted the hosts to 30 for three.

The landmark triumph follows previous milestone victories in South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies, and Australia over the past two decades. Captain Shreyas Iyer led the scoring for the visitors with 16 runs, while contributions from bowlers Washington Sundar and Axar Patel ensured India held on during a tense final over.
