John Harbaugh kicked off his tenure with the New York Giants by guiding the team to a 28-20 upset over the Dallas Cowboys in their 2026-2027 season opener, securing Coach of the Week honors from Athlon Sports. The victory marked New York's first season-opening triumph against Dallas since 2016.

Behind sophomore quarterback Jaxson Dart, the offense accumulated 394 yards, succeeded on 9 of 11 third-down attempts, and maintained possession for over 36 minutes.

Following the win, Harbaugh expressed trust in running back Devin Singletary after a key performance, while sending a stern directive to Tyrone Tracy Jr. after choosing to bench him during the contest.

Looking ahead to a Monday night matchup with the Los Angeles Rams, the coach scheduled an early flight to the West Coast to keep the squad focused solely on their preparations.
