The International Cricket Council has finalized the schedule for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics qualifying tournaments, moving the events to early 2028. This adjustment places the qualifiers within six months of the Games, which mark the sport's return to the Olympic program for the first time since 1904.
The governing body also confirmed that the 2029 World Test Championship final will take place in England from June 8 to 12.
Qualification pathways have also been updated, particularly regarding the host nation's entry. While the American men's team has secured a spot based on current rankings, the women's squad faces a more complex path.
If they fail to meet specific ranking targets by the end of 2026, their potential Olympic berth will be determined by performance at the 2027 Women's Champions Trophy in India.
