I respect the selectors’ decision: Lad on Suyakumar’s omission

Mumbai cricket skipper Siddhesh Lad backed the selection committee choices regarding the exclusion of veteran star Suryakumar Yadav ahead of their upcoming Ranji Trophy campaign against Chandigarh. During a media interaction on Thursday, Lad emphasized his complete backing of the management panel while acknowledging the extraordinary contributions made by Yadav to both domestic and national squads.

Alongside his captain, returning deputy Ayush Mhatre expressed confidence in their squad preparation following intensive recovery periods. Lad is working his way back from a shoulder dislocation sustained during the T20 Mumbai League final, whereas young opening batter Mhatre spent three months at the Bengaluru facility recovering from a left hamstring tear suffered during the IPL.
