Hurricanes beat the Flyers 3-2 in OT for their first win as Aho scores 2

Sebastian Aho spearheaded an overtime triumph as his squad secured their inaugural victory of the campaign against Philadelphia. He netted a pair of regulation scores and assisted on the deciding tally during the extra session.

The visiting group prevailed by a final score of three to two, with Shayne Gostisbehere delivering the golden goal on a power play past netminder Joseph Woll.

This outcome preserved a historic streak, as the visiting franchise notched their ninth consecutive road-opening win, establishing a new coaching milestone for Rod Brind'Amour. Meanwhile, the home side suffered their third consecutive defeat of the young season despite thirty-seven saves from Woll, getting goals from Owen Tippett and Matvei Michkov along the way.
