
LeBron James is set to address reporters in Philadelphia for the initial time since his signing was announced nearly two months ago, though he remains over three weeks away from making his regular-season debut for the franchise. The 41-year-old veteran bypassed a max contract to sign a league-minimum deal, joining a heavily reinforced roster that already features Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, Jaylen Brown, and VJ Edgecombe.
Analyst Dave McMenamin reported that James is expected to take on the primary point guard duties to facilitate for his new teammates. While Maxey may experience a dip in usage and scoring output, his shooting proficiency off the catch should provide a boost to the starting lineup.
