How Kon Knueppel Came To Love Basketball

Charlotte Hornets guard Kon Knueppel originally showed little interest in basketball despite growing up in a prominent hoops family where both parents set scoring records at the collegiate level, an uncle reached the NBA, two more coach in college, four brothers are prospects, and a cousin plays for Illinois. The former Duke standout eventually developed a deep passion for the sport through video games, specifically becoming obsessed with NBA 2K and NBA Jam on a Nintendo Wii console.

Knueppel and the Hornets recently faced the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Entering his second season, the sophomore player has been ranked as the forty-third best athlete in the league, while receiving praise for his maturity from Dell Curry alongside positive updates concerning his health from team leadership.
