Rahul, Revanth rise to the occasion again, thwart Karnataka’s victory push

Karun Nair rescued Karnataka from a precarious position, remaining unbeaten on 155 as the side declared at 337 for nine to set Andhra a target of 194 runs from 45 overs. Andhra’s first‑innings lead of 418 to 274 gave them a three‑point advantage, but the match ended in a draw after Karnataka’s lower order could not chase down the required runs.

S.V. Rahul (35*) and Revanth Reddy (20*) anchored the final innings, batting for more than 18 overs and adding 51 runs to stall Karnataka’s push, while the spin trio of T.

Vijay, Lalith Mohan and Saurabh Kumar kept the hosts in check. Karun Nair’s century, his 27th in first‑class cricket, was the standout performance of the day.
