Heroes, zeros from punchless Yankees Game 1 loss to Rays: One big blast the difference

The Tampa Bay Rays secured a narrow victory in the opening game of the American League Division Series against the New York Yankees. Pitcher Drew Rasmussen baffled the opposing batting order for most of the contest, while Jonathan Aranda provided the deciding offense with a solo home run off Gerrit Cole.

Austin Wells managed to break up the pitching performance late in the game but was tagged out trying to stretch the play into extra bases.
