Hardik Pandya remains sidelined from professional cricket as he recovers from ongoing health issues, resulting in his exclusion from the Baroda roster for the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The all-rounder has not competed since May 2024, with his most recent international appearance occurring during the T20 World Cup final in March.
His brother, Krunal Pandya, will assume captaincy duties for the squad, which also includes Deepak Hooda, Jitesh Sharma, Rasikh Salam, and Raj Limbani.
The team is scheduled to commence their tournament participation on November 14. This continued absence from domestic play raises questions regarding his potential selection for the national squad's upcoming white-ball series against Sri Lanka in December.
