Greg Johnson gave Washington tough competition to open Big Ten play

Washington dropped its conference opener 27-24 against Minnesota, struggling significantly in the trenches against first-time starting center Greg Johnson. Defensive tackle Elinneus Davis noted that facing the highly regarded lineman provided a valuable physical benchmark for the squad's transition into the conference.

Head coach Jedd Fisch's group will look to adjust as they prepare for their upcoming matchup against USC.
