The Green Bay Packers have added former Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Jack Dingle to their practice squad, filling a void left by the team’s recent roster adjustments. With no off-ball linebacker available after moving special teams contributor Kristian Welch to the active roster, the Packers now have Dingle as their newest addition.
The signing comes after a week of evaluating multiple linebackers, with Dingle standing out among the prospects considered. Previously undrafted in 2026, Dingle earned a modest $15,000 guaranteed contract with the Bengals before being waived at the cutdown deadline.
His arrival brings the Packers’ practice squad to 17 players, though they must reduce it to 16 by tomorrow’s deadline. Dingle’s addition follows a trend of the Packers actively developing young talent, including other undrafted free agents who have since been cut or signed to the active roster.
