Giants trade candidate: Could Colts’ wide receiver be a fit for New York?

Wide receiver Josh Downs has formally asked the Indianapolis Colts for a trade as the franchise shifts into a rebuilding phase following recent roster departures. The New York Giants emerge as a potential destination given their lack of a traditional slot receiver and mounting injuries to players at the position.

With an affordable remaining salary on his rookie deal and an acquisition cost likely limited to a late-round selection, Downs presents an intriguing option for New York's offense. However, questions remain regarding how his arrival might impact the snap counts of other targets already utilized heavily in the slot.
