Detroit is welcoming a major defensive reinforcement back to the practice field as safety Kerby Joseph enters his three-week evaluation window. Head coach Dan Campbell noted that the standout defensive back successfully cleared all preliminary evaluations following his recovery from a physically unable to perform designation.
Although Joseph missed significant time last year due to injury concerns, he still managed to produce three interceptions during his limited appearances.
Team leadership intends to ease the defender back into full activity slowly, making it improbable that he will suit up for the upcoming matchup against Minnesota. The organization has upcoming fixtures scheduled against Miami and New England overseas as the coaching staff monitors his physical condition.
Joseph previously earned first-team All-Pro honors after leading the league with nine interceptions and twelve total passes defended during his campaign.
