Giants news: Cornerbacks hurting, Matt Nagy praises Jaxson Dart, more

New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart made a significant impression to open his second professional campaign, helping guide his team to a 28-20 victory against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. Entering the divisional matchup as underdogs, the Giants established control early through a physical approach.

Dart's performance, marked by his mobility and off-script playmaking, drew widespread praise across the league, while teammate Isaiah Likely also emerged as a key weapon in the passing game.

Offensive coordinator Matt Nagy noted that the developing synergy between Dart and Likely shares qualities with what he previously witnessed between Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce during his coaching tenure with the Kansas City Chiefs. Following the opening victory, Dart and the Giants now prepare for a Week 2 matchup with the Los Angeles Rams, drawing comments from opposing quarterback Matthew Stafford and facing the challenge of defensive lineman Aaron Donald.
