Gassiev unsure if Fury v Joshua will be for his WBA belt

Murat Gassiev has expressed confusion regarding the status of his WBA heavyweight championship, admitting he remains uncertain whether his title will be contested when Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua meet in the ring. Gassiev, who became the organization's 'Super' champion in July following Oleksandr Usyk's decision to vacate, stated he has received no official paperwork or clear updates from governing officials.

Although upcoming promotional events for the December 11 bout in Cardiff suggested his championship would be on the line, the boxer noted that he only observed a Ring Magazine title during the recent face-off and is awaiting definitive word while leaving administrative matters to his representatives.
