The New England Patriots expanded their roster activity Tuesday with a fresh batch of tryouts, including a notable veteran offensive lineman. Cody Ford, a 29-year-old second-round pick from Oklahoma in 2019, joined the group of unsigned prospects.
Ford logged 102 career games and 43 starts across stints with the Bills, Cardinals, and Bengals, seeing heavy rotation at both tackle and guard spots. Alongside Ford, the Patriots evaluated Jamaal Williams, a 31-year-old former fourth-round pick with 121 career games and 46 starts, and three rookie free agents: tight end Josh Kattus, offensive lineman Jaren Kump, and defensive back Stephen Hall.
Cornerback Al’zillion Hamilton was the only tryout signee, landing on the practice squad, while outside linebacker Jose Ramirez was released to free up roster space. The Patriots will face the Las Vegas Raiders this Sunday at Gillette Stadium, with kickoff set for 1 p.m.
