Elliotte Friedman reported that the Carolina Hurricanes have placed netminder Cayden Primeau on waivers, allowing any rival club the chance to claim him. Should he go unclaimed, the organization plans to send him down to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Chicago Wolves.
Primeau previously spent the bulk of the prior campaign with the Wolves, registering twenty-one wins, eleven losses, and seven overtime decisions across thirty-nine appearances while maintaining a .916 save percentage and a 2.41 goals-against average. Earlier in his career, the former seventh-round draft pick also logged appearances for Montreal and Toronto.
