
A former Auburn athletic department staffer turned himself in to local police following felony warrants accusing him of digital tampering and stealing trade secrets. Investigators determined that sensitive data from athletic offices on South Donahue Drive was illegally shared with rival universities.
David Rudolph Jenrath surrendered at the station on a Monday before being secured at the Lee County facility with a fifteen thousand dollar bond set for his release. Records indicate the suspect previously served the football program as a scouting assistant dealing with special teams and running backs.
The developments come just days before an upcoming road matchup against the University of Tennessee, where the individual is currently enrolled as a student.
