The Philadelphia Flyers recently poked fun at a strange league enforcement during pregame preparations. Earlier in the week, forward Trevor Zegras drew an unusual infraction for wearing his sweater tucked into his trousers during a preseason victory over the Boston Bruins.
Head coach Rick Tocchet noted that the club had received prior notice regarding stricter enforcement of the regulation. To lighten the mood before their upcoming exhibition match against the Washington Capitals, several squad members, including captain Sean Couturier, Porter Martone, Tyson Foerster, Cam York, and Jamie Drysdale, emerged onto the ice with their sweaters similarly tucked.
Spectators also joined in on the joke, with one supporter displaying a humorous placard near the protective glass.
