Florida Gators land 2028 four-star safety

The Florida Gators secured a verbal commitment from four-star safety Cyion Smith for their 2028 recruiting class ahead of their weekend matchup against the Ole Miss Rebels. Smith previously pledged to Mississippi State before reopening his recruitment in May, eventually taking an unofficial visit to Gainesville to finalize his decision.

On the field for Blountstown High School this junior year, the defensive standout has contributed 24 tackles and multiple forced turnovers across five games while also playing wide receiver.
