Flames Set Opening Night Roster With Huberdeau on IR, Suniev Sent to AHL

The Calgary Flames have locked in their twenty-three player roster for the upcoming twenty twenty-six to twenty-seven campaign, headlined by Jonathan Huberdeau opening the year on injured reserve while recovering from hip surgery. Up front, Aydar Suniev was reassigned to the American Hockey League's Calgary Wranglers following a strong camp, making room for a crowded group of forwards that includes new faces and youngsters like Matvei Gridin and Brennan Othmann.

Calgary will carry two goaltenders in Devin Cooley and Dustin Wolf, alongside eight defensemen such as Zayne Parekh and Simon Nemec.
