Heading into a Week 2 road battle against the Houston Texans, the Cincinnati Bengals are aiming to build on their 33-27 opening victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to reach a 2-0 record for the second consecutive year. Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow disclosed that he is managing back tightness following that Week 1 contest, though he still intends to suit up on Sunday.
Ahead of the matchup, Burrow expressed a commitment to significantly increase the involvement of star wideout Ja'Marr Chase after a quiet performance in the opener.
Despite Burrow's physical issue, the opposing sideline remains wary of the challenge. Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans offered strong compliments toward the Bengals signal-caller, while general manager Nick Caserio commended Cincinnati's offensive line before the game.
Bengals head coach Zac Taylor also spoke to reporters as the club finalized preparations for the showdown in Houston.
