Bristol Rovers boss Steve Evans has stated his full dedication to the fourth-tier English club following media speculation connecting him with the vacant manager's position at Hibernian. Evans mentioned that the Scottish Premiership side, which dismissed David Gray on September 16 following six straight home defeats, has made no direct approach to him.
The 63-year-old manager, who took charge last December, signed an extension in April keeping him at the helm until 2028 after steering the team to safety last season.
His squad currently sits sixth in the division after seven matches, though they recently suffered a three-goal defeat on the road against Gillingham. Expressing flattery at being mentioned alongside the Edinburgh club, Evans emphasized that he remains focused on completing his current assignment.
During his remarks, he also noted that over his extensive career he has never managed in his home country and would only leave his current post for the Scotland national team or a specific unnamed club in Glasgow.
