Northampton Saints loosehead prop Manny Iyogun has extended his stay at Franklin’s Gardens with a new contract, continuing his journey with the Premiership champions. The 25-year-old, who made his England Test debut in July, joins a growing list of Saints players—including Tommy Freeman, Henry Pollock, and Tom Pearson—to secure long-term futures at the club.
A product of Northampton’s academy, Iyogun has become a cornerstone of the team, amassing 104 appearances across eight seasons since joining the senior squad in 2016. His path to the first team began as a back-row forward in the under-18s, where he played two years above his age group before transitioning to his current position.
Reflecting on his career, Iyogun has spoken about overcoming challenges, including injuries, which he credits for shaping his resilience and dedication to the game. Saints director of rugby Phil Dowson praised Iyogun’s journey, highlighting his hard work, ambition, and alignment with the club’s values as key reasons for his continued commitment to Northampton.
