England demolish Sri Lanka in ODI series decider as Banton bashes maiden ton

England wrapped up their summer schedule with a convincing triumph over Sri Lanka in their deciding one-day international, powered by a brilliant first-ever international hundred from Tom Banton and strong late-innings scoring by Jordan Cox. Will Jacks wrapped up the contest by claiming the final dismissal and earned the player of the series accolade.

While the Test squad experienced a difficult few months, Harry Brook's limited-overs team finished the year on a positive note, maintaining the progress that kept Brendon McCullum in his head coaching role for the white-ball setup.
