England call up spinner Mason Crane eight years after his solitary Test cap

Mason Crane has earned a spot in England's squad for the upcoming one-day international tri-series featuring Pakistan and Sri Lanka, marking his first recall nearly eight years after his lone Test appearance. He replaces Rehan Ahmed for the trip, while Jofra Archer will be rested for the competition.

Led by Harry Brook, the touring party departs for Islamabad on 15 October ahead of the round-robin warm-up matches for the upcoming 50-over World Cup. Following double round-robin play, the top two squads will contest the final match at Gaddafi Stadium on 31 October.
