The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially confirmed the schedule for the 12th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), set to take place from March 18 to May 2, 2027. The tournament will continue with its expanded eight-team format, a structure that was first introduced during PSL 11 and proved successful with record-breaking attendance and engagement.
The final of the previous season drew a massive crowd of 32,461 at Gaddafi Stadium, where Peshawar Zalmi secured their first title in nine years by defeating the Hyderabad Kingsmen in May 2026. The Governing Council meeting in London, attended by franchise owners and representatives, finalized the dates on September 1, paving the way for upcoming key events, including direct signings, retention announcements, and the players’ auction.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi emphasized the league’s growth, highlighting the excitement and record-breaking moments from PSL 11, while expressing confidence that PSL 12 will surpass previous achievements. The eight competing teams—Hyderabad Kingsmen, Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators, and Rawalpindi—will once again battle for supremacy in the high-octane T20 competition.
