Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has been ruled out for the remainder of the season following the discovery of blood clots in his lungs. This development follows a controversial appearance in an October 11 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, during which Hurts played despite having been hospitalized until early that morning for a clot in his leg.
The NFL is now investigating the decision-making process that allowed the quarterback to participate in that contest.
While initial reports suggested Hurts had been kept awake for an extended period as a medical precaution, later clarifications indicated he was able to rest at the stadium prior to kickoff. Head coach Nick Sirianni has defended the organization's handling of the situation, stating that the team relied on medical guidance and prioritized player health throughout the process.
