Duke's Walker Eget extremely overlooked in ESPN's Power 4 QB rankings

Despite steering the Blue Devils to a flawless four-game start and earning a No. 21 spot in the US LBM Coaches Poll, signal-caller Walker Eget found himself sitting far down in the 58th position on ESPN's latest major quarterback list.

Analysts pointed to a stout defensive unit and standout rushing performances from Nate Sheppard as primary drivers behind the team's undefeated run, which has limited the passer's primary objective to avoiding mistakes. Even so, the controversial placement ranks him behind struggling competitors such as Georgia Tech's Alberto Mendoza, Oklahoma starter John Mateer, and Stanford signal-caller Davis Warren, whom Eget decisively outperformed during an earlier blowout victory.
