Ducati MotoGP boss ‘fighting against my past’ in 2026 title battle

Ducati general manager Gigi Dall'Igna faces a uniquely personal challenge during the 2026 championship fight as his squad battles Aprilia with just five rounds remaining. Jorge Martin currently holds a narrow two-point lead over Marc Marquez in the riders' standings, while Marco Bezzecchi sits forty-six points back in third place.

This historic title race features Dall'Igna confronting both his former manufacturer and his former athletes, since Martin and Bezzecchi both transitioned to Aprilia after Marquez secured the factory Ducati seat.
