Dream force 19 turnovers, overcome foul trouble to eliminate Mystics with first-round sweep

The Atlanta Dream secured a first-round postseason sweep over the Washington Mystics following a 93-75 triumph on Wednesday evening. Allisha Gray paced the victors with 22 points, while Jordin Canada contributed 19 points and 11 assists alongside Rhyne Howard and Angel Reese scoring 15 points each.

Referees whistled a combined 53 fouls, causing Howard to foul out and sending multiple starters into early foul trouble before Atlanta pulled away with a decisive 13-0 run in the final period. The victory advances the franchise to the playoff semifinals for the first time since 2018, where a matchup against the New York Liberty awaits on Sunday.
