Drake Maye downplays shoulder issue landing him on Patriots injury report

New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye appeared on the team's initial injury report for Week 4 due to a right shoulder concern, though he managed to participate fully in practice. The signal-caller brushed off the ailment, stating it has not affected his play despite a tough beginning to his 2026 campaign that includes one touchdown, six interceptions, and a -0.070 expected points added per play metric across three appearances.

Head coach Mike Vrabel previously minimized any long-term worry regarding the quarterback's physical status, characterizing routine maintenance as standard for players absorbing hits during competition.
