Dolphins news: Caleb Douglas sets record, injury update, and 0-17 possibility
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Caleb Douglas turned heads in his NFL debut, pulling in five receptions for 94 yards to establish a new franchise record for most receiving yards by a rookie in their opening contest. His performance topped Miami's receiving chart and earned him a Rookie of the Week nomination, despite his team dropping their Week 1 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders by a 27-13 margin.
The defeat also marked a challenging start for new Miami head coach Jeff Hafley, as the Dolphins committed eight penalties, coughed up two turnovers, and lost the time of possession battle by almost ten minutes. Quarterback Malik Willis and the rest of the squad will look to correct course after starting the season 0-1.
