Dolphins news: Caleb Douglas sets record, injury update, and 0-17 possibility

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Caleb Douglas turned heads in his NFL debut, pulling in five receptions for 94 yards to establish a new franchise record for most receiving yards by a rookie in their opening contest. His performance topped Miami's receiving chart and earned him a Rookie of the Week nomination, despite his team dropping their Week 1 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders by a 27-13 margin.

The defeat also marked a challenging start for new Miami head coach Jeff Hafley, as the Dolphins committed eight penalties, coughed up two turnovers, and lost the time of possession battle by almost ten minutes.
