Dodgers NLCS player grades: Tarik Skubal makes too many mistakes in Game 1 loss

The Los Angeles squad stumbled in the opening matchup of the National League Championship Series against Milwaukee, dropping a narrow 2-1 decision. Pitcher Tarik Skubal showed early dominance by striking out six of his first nine batters, but unraveled later in the contest.

Skubal surrendered a home run to Brice Turang in the fourth frame and a leadoff walk in the fifth led to the decisive runs, bringing an early end to his outing before he could complete six innings. Offensive struggles further hampered the visitors as multiple players faltered with runners in scoring position, including costly double plays and missed opportunities by several key contributors.
