Dillon Brooks pours fuel on Kevin Durant’s beef with Suns owner

Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks escalated the ongoing feud between Kevin Durant and Suns owner Mat Ishbia with a pointed social media jab. Brooks posted an Instagram Story Sunday night featuring a Suns jersey and a diss track lyric, seemingly mocking Ishbia’s recent admission that trading for Durant in 2023 was a misstep.

The post—paired with the 50 Cent song *Back Down*—implied Brooks was cleaning up a perceived locker-room issue before his arrival, a clear dig at Durant, who now plays for the Houston Rockets. Durant, who has publicly clashed with Brooks since their 2025 trade (which sent Brooks to Phoenix alongside Jalen Green and multiple draft picks), has yet to respond to the latest jab, though he previously reposted Ishbia’s comments with his own barbs, including a jab about Durant’s contract status and the team’s culture.

The two will face off three times this season, with their first meeting scheduled for November 7.
