Manager Torey Lovullo is officially staying with the Arizona Diamondbacks after agreeing to a new two-year extension. This agreement keeps him locked in as skipper through at least the 2028 campaign.
The front office scheduled an official press briefing for later in the day to discuss the decision. Securing the leadership spot now prevents the franchise from scrambling for a new staff ahead of an impending sport-wide lockout.
Petco Park in San Diego previously hosted a game between the Diamondbacks and San Diego Padres where Lovullo was spotted managing from the dugout.
