Detroit Lions fill 53-man roster by signing Seth McLaughlin

The Detroit Lions are shaking up their roster following a recent 41-31 defeat against the Buffalo Bills during which safety Avonte Maddox sustained a season-ending injury. Sitting at a 1-1 record, the team has signed rookie safety Bishop Fitzgerald off the Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad after he recorded five interceptions at USC last season.

To accommodate this addition, the franchise released linebacker Joe Bachie from the active roster. Additionally, the organization brought back veteran defensive back Jalen Mills to bolster the secondary through their ongoing injury struggles.
