Demetrio Crisantes is enjoying a breakout 2026 campaign after climbing through the Diamondbacks farm system from the ACL level to Triple-A Reno. The infielder posted a .319 average across 35 games in Amarillo before maintaining a .278 mark during his 50-game stint with the Aces.
During his rapid ascent, the Tucson native recorded a cycle and executed a notable defensive play at second base. While navigating this busy schedule, Crisantes received mentorship from major league players including Pavin Smith, Tommy Troy, Santiago Espinal, and LuJames Groover.
He is currently competing in the Arizona Fall League, where he has bonded with fellow prospect Jack O'Dowd over their shared experiences with frequent mid-season promotions. O'Dowd, a Rockies prospect who advanced from Single-A to Double-A this year, views the demanding travel schedule as a necessary step toward reaching the majors.
