Defiance and comfort - what Guardiola said about Man City charges

Former Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola recently expressed public support for the club following findings of financial misconduct spanning a nine-year period. Despite departing his managerial role this past summer, Guardiola remains affiliated with the City Football Group as a global ambassador and is slated to appear at an upcoming Champions League fixture.

The situation stems from long-standing allegations, including a 2019 incident where Guardiola defended the club's financial integrity after being questioned about potential undeclared payments to staff members like Roberto Mancini.
