No. 2 Georgia defeated Vanderbilt 38-14 at Sanford Stadium on October 3.
The Commodores played without starting quarterback Jared Curtis due to an undisclosed injury, forcing replacement Blaze Berlowitz into action. Berlowitz threw for 190 yards, including a 60-yard touchdown pass to senior receiver Junior Sherrill, who totaled 107 receiving yards.
Despite Vanderbilt holding a yardage edge at halftime, Georgia pulled away in the second half behind quarterback Gunner Stockton, helped by a crucial tipped-pass reception that tight end Lawson Luckie turned into a 43-yard gain.
