Cowboys at Giants: The good, the bad, and the ugly

The Dallas Cowboys began their season with a division setback, falling 28-20 against the New York Giants on Sunday night at MetLife Stadium. Dallas spent most of the contest trailing on the scoreboard as quarterback Dak Prescott connected on 22 of 34 throws, generating two passing scores in an effort that fell short of his standard output.

Defensive coordinator Christian Parker endured a frustrating premiere with Dallas, as his squad surrendered 28 points to a New York attack orchestrated by quarterback Jaxson Dart. Dart guided the Giants effectively throughout the evening, controlling possession and capitalizing on defensive breakdowns to drop Dallas to an 0-1 record.
