Colts in control with Marcus Mariota out after injuring the MCL in his right knee

Washington quarterback Marcus Mariota exited early due to a right knee MCL re-injury, leaving rookie Athan Kaliakmanis to take over under center against Indianapolis. Head coach Dan Quinn confirmed the severity of the setback during the broadcast, noting the team is deeply disheartened for the veteran signal-caller.

With Kaliakmanis struggling to move the offense through the air, Indianapolis capitalized on a crucial interception that led directly to a score by Jonathan Taylor. Holding a comfortable advantage in the third quarter, the visitors remain firmly in command as the contest continues.
