The Indianapolis front office has initiated a roster teardown by dealing offensive lineman Quenton Nelson to Seattle for a 2027 third-rounder and a 2028 fifth-rounder, alongside shipping defensive lineman DeForest Buckner to San Francisco in exchange for a 2027 fourth-round selection. With the franchise sitting at a 2-5 record, leadership is also engaged in discussions regarding running back Jonathan Taylor, who has already attracted at least one package featuring a second-round choice.
Taylor maintains a strong track record of production, having previously topped the league in rushing yards and secured multiple rushing touchdown crowns, including eight scores through seven contests this season. Five franchises have emerged as potential landing spots for the star runner: the Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants, and Seattle Seahawks.
Green Bay in particular struggles deeply on the ground, averaging a league-worst 60.6 rushing yards per game and 2.9 yards per rush attempt with Josh Jacobs recently returning from the commissioner-exempt list.
