Colorado Buffaloes waste dominant defensive effort in Texas Tech loss

Colorado wasted a strong defensive performance at Folsom Field on Saturday, falling 29-7 to tenth-ranked Texas Tech despite outgaining the visitors 375 yards to 315. NBA star Nikola Jokic was in attendance as the Buffaloes jumped to an early 7-0 lead behind Isaac Wilson's eight-yard touchdown pass to Joseph Williams.

However, missed field goals by Elliott Arnold, a failed fake punt, and a scoreless second half doomed the hosts as Texas Tech reeled off 29 unanswered points. Will Hammond connected with Terrance Carter for an eleven-yard score during the surge, while defensive back Brice Pollock secured a crucial interception off a trick play involving Williams to help seal the victory for the Red Raiders.
