College Football Sunday Summary Plays the Expectations Game

Week four of the college football schedule delivered a mixed bag of results, highlighting how programs are measuring up to preseason forecasts. Clemson improved to 3-1 following a cross-country victory over Cal, though a looming matchup against Miami awaits.

Meanwhile, California quarterback Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele experienced a tough outing at home, throwing two interceptions and zero touchdowns in a defeat that brought his season interception total to four against seven scores.

Elsewhere, Minnesota head coach PJ Fleck celebrated a home victory over Washington by wiping a bleeding teammate's face, while Florida vaulted to a 4-0 record and a 2-0 conference mark by defeating Ole Miss under newly hired coach John Sumrall. In other coaching storylines, NC State leader Dave Doeren continues to navigate annual expectations as the season progresses.
